When I began Google's seven-part User Experience Design Certification course through Coursera, the first design prompt I chose was to design a staff scheduling app for an animal shelter. This was something I could relate to as I have been involved in cat rescue for several years.
This project also was a tool for me to learn the about the designing process - and it was also my playground to learn how to design with Figma.
Though my focus was primarily designing a mobile app, I kept in mind how it could be adapted to other platforms (PC, tablet, etc.) as I was going through the design process.
I also focused on the main tasks of signing up to help at an event and setting reminders. In the future, I hope to explore more useful features in addition to designing for multiple platforms.
